Since we officially launched the site. Technically, Don and I have been working on putting content together since about may, but let's not be technical here.

Just since things got started we have been priviliged with being able to cover some amazing acts, make some great friends and have a good time all over the Portland area.

If you haven't see it yet, we got a chance to sit down with the Upsidedown, a band that I think has potential to do great things above and beyond what they have already accomplished. They are currently touring with one of the greatest Portland bands of all time, The Dandy Warhols. We look forward to seeing them back in town so we can go and see them again.

Recently, we got the opportunity to have the best interview I have been involved with yet with the Swallows. These two are great. John and Em welcomed us to their killer show and then had a nice long chat with us about all sorts of things, and frankly I wish I had had more space and time to write a longer article. The night truly deserved it.

I guess what I am getting at here is that I am genuinely excited about what is going on. I am about to start posting the first CD reviews so all of you can see the new music we have been getting our hands on and what we think of it. We're also getting ready to unroll a campaign where we will be reviewing your favorite venues. If you have a nomination, e-mail me This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and let me know where you think I should go, and if you want to meet me there and have a drink that would be even better.

All in all I think that this is going to become a good place for all of you to find out about the local music that matters to you. We're excited to go see and hear it, so if you are an artist that thinks we should check you out, get ahold of me or hit us up on our myspace page www.myspace.com/livemusicpdx .

Also, we are always looking for new writers and photographers that are interested in helping us out. If you want to get ahold of me and pitch the idea of going to killer shows and making sure that everyone else knows about it, drop me a line and we will see what we can make happen.

Until next time, go get yourself a bacon and maple bar and have a good week!
